Company Overview
The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) is a non-profit organization with 2,400 independent insurance agency members. Members are comprised of independent property and casualty insurance agencies, and wholesale and insurance carriers serving the independent insurance distribution system.
Workflow Challenge
In 2001, the IIAT decided to underwrite the “Trusted Choice” program (a fee-based national certification program that signifies exceptional service and support for the consumer) for all of it’s 2400 members. Unfortunately, with over 2000 members, this decision came with a daunting and arduous paper tracking nightmare. To avoid an expensive, manual process, the IIAT wanted a solution that would enable members to esign the Trusted Choice certification documents directly online.
EchoSign Solution
The IIAT evaluated 5 esignature vendors and chose chose EchoSign due to its flexible functionality — EchoSign allows users to send a form for esignature, as well as post a form on a website or secure portal (without any HTML programming) for instant esigning. “Working with EchoSign was a smooth and easy process — it took 2 days to setup the online form on the IIAT website, and has worked flawlessly every since.”
Results
Within 30 days of putting EchoSign into production, over 150 agencies member agencies had signed Trusted Choice documents online. In addition, there have been many inquiries from the independent agents about the EchoSign service as they see a tremendous time saving opportunity for their business and their customers. “It’s an extremely positive reaction, considering the insurance industry is typically not an ‘early adopter’ industry”.
